Moblin setup QR code generator
Make one QR code that sets up Moblin, IRL Pro or IRLwhatever with your stream URL and video settings. Scan it with the phone's camera and the app opens with everything filled in.
Scan with Moblin
Add your stream URL to make the QR code.
Too many settings to fit in a QR code. Remove the extras, or open the link on the phone instead.
This code contains your stream URL. Anyone who scans it can stream to your server, so keep it off stream.
- Install Moblin on your phone.
- Point the phone's camera at the code and tap the link.
- Allow the app to import the settings. The stream shows up ready to go.

How Moblin setup links work
Moblin can import settings from a link that starts with moblin://. The link carries a small block of settings: a stream with its name, URL, resolution, frame rate, bitrate, codec, audio bitrate and SRT latency. Scan it, tap the link, and Moblin adds the stream without any typing. Your stream key never passes through a chat app or a notes file.
IRL Pro on Android reads the larix:// import format from Larix Broadcaster, and IRLwhatever has its own irlwhatever://import/ link. Pick the app above and the tool makes the right one. Already set up? The Moblin settings viewer reads your export and checks it.
The QR code is made in your browser. Your stream URL and OBS password are never sent anywhere and never added to this page's link, so the "Copy link" button only shares your video settings.

FAQ
Setup QR code questions
How do I import settings into Moblin with a QR code?
Scan the code with your iPhone's camera and tap the link that appears. Moblin opens and asks to import the settings; accept and the new stream is added and selected.
Does this work with IRL Pro on Android?
Yes. Pick IRL Pro above. It makes a Larix-format import link that sets the SRT or SRTLA connection, stream ID, latency and video settings.
Is my stream key safe?
The QR code is made in your browser and nothing is sent to a server. The stream URL and OBS password are never saved in the page link. Treat the QR code like a password and don't show it on stream.
Why won't my QR code scan?
Very long settings make a dense code that some cameras struggle with. Remove the optional extras, make the code bigger on screen, or copy the link and open it on the phone instead.
Can I use RTMP with these links?
Yes for Moblin and IRL Pro: put an rtmp:// or rtmps:// URL in and the SRT settings are left out. For mobile data, SRTLA copes far better with drops.
