FAQ
Plan questions
Which plan should I pick?
Most streamers pick Intermediate: 1080p60 on a semi-dedicated server, remote desktop, multistreaming to 5 platforms and collab tools. Basic is 1080p60 to one platform without remote desktop. StreamSaver is the budget option at 720p60. Professional adds 4K60, 12 platforms, 3 relays and a dedicated bare-metal server. Still unsure? Ask us on Discord.
What's the difference between shared, semi-dedicated and dedicated?
It's how much of the hardware running your OBS is yours. StreamSaver and Basic share a server with other streamers, Intermediate gets a semi-dedicated server, and Professional gets a whole bare-metal server to itself, which is what makes 4K60 and 12 platforms possible.
Which plans include remote desktop?
Intermediate and Professional. Remote desktop opens the full OBS Studio on your server in your browser, so you can install plugins and scripts, build scenes with browser sources and upload your own files. Every plan can be run from IRLstudio and IRLremote.
What is the cloud storage for?
Your own files on the server, like BRB loops, music, stingers and overlay images. StreamSaver includes 250 MB, Basic 1 GB, Intermediate 2 GB and Professional 5 GB.
Which plans include collab tools?
Intermediate and Professional. In IRLstudio you can invite a guest by email, give them their own scene in your OBS, and let Switching Bot cover them with BRB if their signal drops.
Do all plans get disconnect protection?
Yes, every Cloud OBS plan gets the same disconnect protection: a BRB scene with clips from your channel while your signal is gone, and back to live as soon as you reconnect. See how it works.
Are there setup fees?
No. We set up every server for you at no extra cost, live within 24 hours of payment and usually much sooner.
What's the difference between Cloud OBS and SimpleStreamer?
Cloud OBS runs a full OBS that builds your stream, with scenes, overlays, alerts and BRB clips from your channel, controlled from IRLstudio and IRLremote. SimpleStreamer only forwards the stream your phone already makes and holds a BRB screen when the signal drops. Read more about SimpleStreamer.
